Koalas, kangaroos, surfing and sandboarding

Australia reminds me of Canada, but with the annoying accent (and I mean the annoying Aussie accent, although the Canadian one can be annoying too). And the AUD$ is ridiculously strong right now. Basically the AUD$ is worth more than the US$ at time of writing. This is not the place for a backpacker on a budget, which I am! Luckily my aunt and uncle have allowed me to leech off them for the past 2 weeks (谢谢 thanks Pikling & Robert).

BUT the beaches are amazing. What can I say? I have spent almost everyday on the beach, trying very hard to surf(rather pathetically and unsuccessfully, resembling more like a dying seal).

Feeding the kangaroos

Wallaby's - they look like kangaroos, but are more smaller

Koala - they look like little teddy bears! I want one!!!

Sandboarding - the Australian equivalent of snowboarding.

The sky is the most amazing blue. It looks unreal. I wish I was a better photographer to give it justice. It's indescribable.

Trying out my surfer chick look

Look at me go

Bosh, WIPE OUT!!!
