I still can't get over how expensive Australia is! It's like London tourist prices but the difference is I am unemployed! Australians would have no problem in the UK!
I've been staying in the hostel Westend Backpackers. I've been sharing a room with 2 Swedish girls who have been living in our room for a month now. The room is a dump! This is also a complete party hostel and people seem to just sit around drinking Goon. Goon is basically cheap wine in a box, but it gets you drunk really cheaply...so I've heard. I have been really good and have hardly been drinking except for one night when I decided to go out partying with loads of young kids. I felt really old and came home early.
Actually as I write this everyone in the hostel is getting ready for a themed party. The theme: ABC Anything But Clothes. Lots of sexy bin bag and newspaper action going on. I am NOT participating!
Checked out the surfers at Bondi Beach. It's a really beautiful beach but far too many tourist. I just love watching the boarders. They make it look so easy.
Oh yes, and The Ashes! Well done England!!! There are a lot of pissed off Aussies here I can tell you!
