Where does the sponsorship money go?

We drove up into the mountains in the North of Bali on the worst roads ever to a place near Songan (which took three hours) to get to a school where the kids are individually sponsored to go to school and learn English. We had to help the kids write 'thank you' notes to their sponsor and take their photos. I was put in charge of photography as that's my hobby and I have a cool camera to boot. I love all that stuff anyway.

It was sad that some of the kids had been dropped by their sponsor but instead of stopping the child from going to school, IHF actually uses it's own money to keep the kid going to class. I spoke to some of the kids and they actually walk 20km to get to school that would easily take over 4 hrs walk! The one and only teacher only gets paid $1USD p/h. It's another world to know people work like this.

Modern facilities but no school books or teaching materials so we brought stuff for the kids.
